Black halibut is one of the most expensive and delicious fish of the flounder family, especially valued for its fatty white meat, which literally “melts in your mouth” and the absence of small bones. This inhabitant of the cold depths is caught in the Barents, Bering and Okhotsk seas. You can buy fresh halibut without heads without overpaying for extra weight.

The dense and incredibly tasty meat does not separate when defrosted and cooked, so it is perfect for frying, baking, grilling or steaming. You can buy halibut for making tasty low-calorie dishes or hearty and high-calorie ones - everything will depend on the method of its processing: it is important to consider, that when fried it actively absorbs oil and the calorie content can increase sharply.
