Wakame is used in Eastern and European cooking, as well as in medicine. In Latin, the algae is called Undaria pinnatifida, which translates as ‘Undaria pinnatifida’. This plant is a representative of the genus Undaria and belongs to the department of brown algae. For its nutritional qualities and ease of preparation, it is valued by supporters of healthy eating and raw foodists.
